CBSE Class 10 Board Exams 2026: Full Date Sheet Released for Term 1 & Term 2

The CBSE has officially released the complete date sheet for the Class 10 Board Exams 2026, including the schedules for both Term 1 and Term 2. Dual-Exam System Introduced

In a major policy update, the Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct two board examinations for Class 10 in 2026. Term 1 (Exam 1) will be held in February–March, while Term 2 (Exam 2) is scheduled for May–June. This dual-exam system is designed to minimize academic pressure and ensure students who do not excel in the first attempt can try again within the same session.

Advance Announcement for Academic Planning

The CBSE has published the detailed timetable almost five months ahead—146 days before the examinations start. For 2026, the Class 10 board exams will begin on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, and will conclude on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. Scheduling information is publicly available, providing ample time for schools, students, and guardians to plan their study and revision timetables.

Key Dates and Subjects

Term 1 is set to cover all 204 subjects offered by CBSE for secondary students. The exams will be conducted in a single morning shift, starting at 10:30 am and ending at 1:30 pm for most major papers. Students should consult the official board schedule for subject-wise details. Notable core subjects like Mathematics, English, Science, Social Science, and Hindi are spaced out to allow recovery and focused exam preparation between major papers.
